The unsustainable production of the planets food in an interactive infographic
Today when the day ends more than 800 million people around the world will sleep starving. And also today when the day ends tons of food will be wasted. It's that simple and so painful. And so unacceptable.
Manos Unidas (United Hands) have been years revealing against this reality, and fighting against hunger in the world.
We worked together with the producer Kikedom and the ONG Manos Unidas, for helping them to generate a tool (interactiveinfographic) that allows them to spread their important message; the world doesn't need more food, it needs more committed people.
The way to obtain the engagement of people is through education and sensibilization, a change of lifestyle and accomplishing these actions. Explaining models of sustainable production and showing the big differences between food habits in developed countries and developing countries in schools and high schools is not a simple job.Education cannot be to far from the social context and the environment of students, that's why it has to be in the constant search for better ressources that allows them to reach their goals. Materials that are more attractive for the audience, and interactive materials that generates: interest, motivation, developing the initiative and impulse a major communication and cooperative learning. Nowadays we all pay less attention, and that's because of the big quantity of messages that we face everyday. A great way to communicate in a effective way is to use interactive infographics, a visualization of data and ideas that transmit complex information to the audience and also in an understandable way, with elements that allows an active interaction of the user. Infographics allows to pass from the information to the meaning, and that's because information, analysis, practice, and instantly feedback that allows people to inform, analyze themself and translate the data they are receiving, setting up a new knowledge. All of them are an efficient tool to catch the reader.
